When I was a child, I remember being distinctly disappointed with the power-levels of the average wizard in fiction. It’s possible that’s because the first memory I have of a story where. A version of Wizard named William Zarick appears in Stargirl, portrayed by Joe Knezevich. This version is depicted as a member of the Injustice Society. As seen in the pilot episode, ten years prior to the series, Wizard partook in the Injustice Society's attack on the Justice Society of America 's headquarters, taking out Hourman while he was.

Overnight, he became famous and his book, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, became the classic American fairy tale. By popular demand, a host of delightful sequels followed, some even better than the book that started it all. Dorothy and the Wizard are back in this sequel, and this time it all begins not with a cyclone but with a California earthquake.   I actually, don't have a copy of the book, which now is top on my list of books to get! And if you'd like to learn more about Willard the Wizard, I would encourage you to try and find Bev Bergeron's book Willard the Wizard or David Charvet's book Willard: A Life Under Canvas.
